Assisting the studio team in patternmaking, material mockups and production related tasks. The intern role at botter is a polyvalent one that saw me undertaking a myriad of different tasks.
Walter Van Beirendonck - Antwerp, Belgium
6 months, Sept 2023 - Feb 2024 Woking closely with Walter as the primary sewing intern, this design internship entrusted me with various responsabilities, draping, sewing, patternmaking, assisting with production, etc. I produced the majority of the volume research and toiles for the novel cut and sew silhouettes. I also expanded my knowledge in adobe illustrator whilst helping to prepare prints for manufacturing. Studio life also gave me insight into production preparation, PR, manufacturing techniques as well as an over all feeling for the rythm and priorities of producing a collection within an established fashion company.
